This book was written in response to numerous requests to recommend a simple, inexpensive book, showing the basic yoga postures. The book contains details of 37 yoga postures, and includes sections on limbering the body, breathing, therapeutic yoga, relaxation and a seven-day posture plan.

It is not meant only for the beginner, for all students of yoga find themselves returning again and again to the basics. 

 About the author: Cherry Ray discovered the benefits of yoga more than 20 years ago, after many years of pain and discomfort caused by an injury to the lower back. Yoga so completely changed her life that she decided to become a trained yoga teacher. Cherry obtained a teaching diploma from the International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA), in 1987. She lives in Perth, Western Australia with her family, where she regularly teaches.
